Texas-based telecommunications company Ezee Fiber has entered into an agreement to acquire Tachus Fiber Internet from Crosstimbers Capital Group. Both companies have a strong presence in the Houston, Texas area, with Tachus operating a fully underground fiber network serving over 60,000 residential and business customers.
The strategic acquisition, which was announced recently, aims to strengthen Ezee Fiber’s reach in northern Houston, adding to its ongoing expansion efforts in other regions. The deal, however, did not disclose specific financial terms, closing dates, or additional details. Ezee Fiber highlighted its growth over the past two years, including investments worth $200 million in Houston, $250 million in New Mexico, and $400 million in Washington. The addition of Tachus is part of an aggressive expansion strategy for this year.
Company CEO Matt Marino expressed enthusiasm about the merger, emphasizing the value it will bring to customers and communities. He praised Tachus for its excellent fiber internet services, customer support, and reliability. Marino stated, “Bringing Ezee Fiber and Tachus together unlocks tremendous value for both companies, our customers, and the communities we proudly serve.”
This acquisition follows Ezee Fiber’s recent purchase of fiber assets from Conterra Networks in New Mexico, covering 128 miles of high-quality fiber infrastructure across Santa Fe, Rio Rancho, and Los Lunas. Although specific deal details weren’t disclosed, this move further underscores Ezee Fiber’s strategic growth in the region.
Looking ahead, Ezee Fiber is planning additional market expansions throughout the year to continue providing high-quality fiber services across various locations, underlining its commitment to technological advancement and community building.
